Juvenile Dies After Double Shooting in Atlanta’s Dixie Hills Neighborhood
ATLANTA, Ga. – A juvenile girl died after a shooting Tuesday night in northwest Atlanta that also left an adult woman injured, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
Officers assigned to Zone 1 responded at approximately 9:49 p.m. to reports of two people shot in the 2200 block of Tiger Flowers Drive NW in the Dixie Hills area. Upon arrival, officers found an adult female and a juvenile female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police said the adult victim was transported to a hospital alert, conscious, and breathing. The juvenile victim was transported in critical condition but later died at the hospital.
Investigators with the Atlanta Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities emphasized that the information released is preliminary and may change as the investigation continues.
