16-year-old Arrested for Murder in Augusta Fatal Shooting
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Authorities have arrested a teenager in connection with the fatal shooting of Cam’ron Hallingquest earlier this month, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 16-year-old Jimon Timon Rhodes of Augusta on Tuesday, February 24th, in the 400 block of Walton Way in Augusta. Rhodes has been charged with armed robbery and murder and is being prosecuted as an adult under Georgia law.
The charges stem from an investigation into Hallingquest’s death, which occurred Feb. 18th in the 3400 block of Winesap Way.
Officials said the investigation remains active as detectives continue gathering evidence. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with additional information related to the case to contact investigators.
