Lee County High School Teacher Arrested by GBI for Child Molestation

Leesburg, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested a 29-year-old Leesburg woman accused of molesting a juvenile student while employed as a teacher at Lee County High School.

Danielle Weaver, 29, of Leesburg, was taken into custody without incident on February 18, 2026, at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. She faces charges of Child Molestation and Improper Sexual Contact by Employee, Agent, or Foster Parent. Weaver is currently being held at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Jail pending formal arraignment.

The investigation began on February 3, 2026, when Leesburg Police Department officers responded to a request from Lee County High School administrators to look into allegations of inappropriate contact between a teacher and a student. School officials had become aware of concerning information and immediately contacted law enforcement.

Investigators quickly identified Weaver as the subject and confirmed the victim was a juvenile student enrolled at Lee County High School. Due to the serious nature of the allegations involving a school employee and a minor, the Leesburg Police Department requested assistance from the GBI on February 4, 2026.

GBI agents, working jointly with the Leesburg Police Department, conducted the investigation that included interviews, evidence collection, and review of relevant records. On February 17, 2026, arrest warrants were obtained charging Weaver with the two felony offenses.
