Two Teens Arrested After Rock Thrown From I-16 Overpass Injures Driver
BIBB COUNTY, Georgia – Two teenagers have been taken into custody in Bibb County after a rock was thrown from an interstate overpass, injuring a driver below, authorities said.
Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division responded after a motorist reported that a rock crashed through the windshield of his Chevrolet truck as he drove under the James Brown Memorial Bridge on Interstate 16.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by medical responders.
Investigators identified two teenage suspects believed to be responsible for throwing rocks from the overpass. Both are facing charges of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.
The case remains under investigation.
