Nicholls Man Arrested in GBI Child Porn Investigation
Nicholls, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested a 34-year-old Nicholls resident on 10 felony counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children following an investigation into alleged possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material online.
Matthew Lee Sprinkle, 34, of Nicholls in Coffee County, was taken into custody after GBI agents executed a search warrant at his residence. The probe was launched in June 2025 when the GBI Child Exploitation and Abuse Coordination Center (CEACC) Unit received a CyberTipline Report from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
NCMEC CyberTiplines, often submitted by internet service providers, social media platforms, and cloud storage companies, alert authorities to suspicious uploads, downloads, or sharing of known child sexual abuse material. The report prompted a detailed investigation into Sprinkle’s online activity, which ultimately produced sufficient evidence to secure and execute the search warrant.
During the search, investigators located digital devices containing material consistent with the allegations. Sprinkle was arrested on scene and booked into the Coffee County Jail.
He now faces 10 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children, each count a serious felony in Georgia that carries substantial prison time if convicted.
The multi-agency effort included assistance from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, and the GBI’s Regional Investigative Office in Douglas, Georgia.
This arrest comes after the GBI announced a similar case in neighboring Broxton involving Jonathan Dwayne Graham, who was charged with five counts of the same offense following another NCMEC CyberTipline referral.
