Clayton Police Arrest Two in Drug Trafficking Investigation; Cocaine, Fentanyl Seized
CLAYTON, GA — A weeks-long narcotics investigation by the Clayton Police Department has led to two arrests and the seizure of multiple illegal drugs, cash, and assets believed to be tied to drug distribution.
The investigation began in late December 2025 after an initial arrest involving possession of methamphetamine. Detectives continued working to identify others connected to suspected drug transportation and distribution within the city.
On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop in Clayton involving a vehicle believed to be used to transport illegal narcotics as part of the ongoing investigation.
As a result of the stop, the driver and passenger were arrested and charged with:
- Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession of Fentanyl
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Tramadol
- Possession of Xanax
- Various traffic violations
During the investigation, officers seized the vehicle, along with thousands of dollars in cash and multiple gift cards believed to be connected to illegal drug transactions.
Clayton Police officials say the investigation remains active and reaffirmed their commitment to combating the transportation and distribution of dangerous narcotics within the community.
Authorities also credited the professionalism and coordination of officers and partnering agencies involved in the case.
