Macon Church Burglary Suspect Arrested After Cameras Capture Theft of Air Conditioning Units

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. – Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Property Unit investigators have arrested a man accused of burglarizing a south Macon church after the crime was captured on camera, according to a sheriff’s office report.

Investigators said the suspect was arrested in connection with the theft of air conditioning units from Southside Community Church on Roy Avenue. Surveillance footage reportedly showed the individual removing the units from the property.

The suspect was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center and charged with theft by taking, a felony, and criminal damage to property, also a felony.

Authorities said warrants have been issued for a second suspect who was also caught on camera during the burglary. The investigation remains ongoing.
