Columbus Police Clear 71 Property Crime Cases, File 205 Charges Over Two Months

COLUMBUS, Georgia – The Columbus Police Department Property Crimes Unit reported clearing 71 cases and arresting 23 individuals during December 2025 and January 2026, resulting in a total of 205 criminal charges.

Police said the totals do not include results from three Porch Pirate enforcement details conducted in December 2025, which were reported separately.

Investigators cited a wide range of offenses, including identity fraud, shoplifting, vehicle theft, firearm theft, and financial crimes. Several cases involved high-volume auto break-ins and firearm-related offenses, with dozens of charges tied to individual suspects. Juvenile suspects are not identified by name due to their age.

In addition to previously reported arrests, police added the following recent enforcement actions:

Takeysha Price, 47, was charged with misdemeanor theft by deception. Anthony Richardson, 19, was charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle. A 15-year-old juvenile was charged with two counts of entering an auto and theft by taking.

Three juveniles, all 13 or 14 years old, were each charged with two counts of entering an auto and felony theft by taking. Kimberly King, 51, faces charges of misdemeanor theft of lost or mislaid property, financial transaction card theft, and 10 counts of financial transaction card fraud. Kristina Thomas, 53, was charged with 10 counts of financial transaction card fraud. Redarious Luke, 35, was charged with two counts of financial transaction card theft and three counts of financial transaction card fraud.

Police said all charges are felonies unless otherwise noted as misdemeanors.
