Atlanta Police Arrest Homicide Suspect Months After Fatal Shooting on Fairburn Road
ATLANTA, GA – Atlanta police have arrested a suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred last summer on Fairburn Road, following the execution of a search warrant earlier this month.
On Feb. 2, 2026, units with the Atlanta Police Department, including SWAT, Drone, Fugitive, and Homicide investigators, arrested 22-year-old Willie Terrell Felder with assistance from the United States Secret Service. Authorities identified Felder as a primary suspect in the killing that occurred June 30, 2025, at 3390 Fairburn Road.
Felder was taken into custody without incident and transported to Atlanta Police Public Safety Headquarters for processing. He is expected to be transferred to the Fulton County Jail, where he faces charges of murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Police said Felder has one prior arrest cycle in Georgia for simple battery and criminal trespass.
The arrest follows a homicide investigation stemming from a shooting reported the night of June 30, 2025. According to a previously released preliminary statement, officers responded to a call at approximately 9:15 p.m. at the Fairburn Road location regarding a person who had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The investigation into the homicide remains ongoing.
