Bibb County Deputies Arrest Suspects After Burglary Linked to Stolen U-Haul and Chase
MACON, Georgia – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the burglary of a commercial business following a brief vehicle and foot pursuit on Tuesday morning.
At approximately 7:45 a.m. on January 27, 2026, the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center received a call reporting a suspicious vehicle believed to be involved in a recent burglary. The vehicle, described as a U-Haul Ford Econoline with Arizona license plates, had been linked to a burglary that occurred on January 24 at Highland Hills Baptist Church, located at 1370 Briarcliff Road.
The vehicle was spotted traveling along Gray Highway before entering Interstate 75 South toward the Hardeman Avenue exit. A Bibb County patrol deputy located the vehicle at the Hardeman Avenue exit and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop, accelerated through a red light at the intersection of Hardeman Avenue and Forsyth Street, and fled.
After a brief pursuit, the driver and passenger abandoned the vehicle at the intersection of Forsyth Street and Monroe Avenue and ran on foot. Deputies pursued and apprehended both individuals without further incident. Property investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division responded to assist.
The suspects were identified as 37-year-old Jeffrey Gadsden Henderson of Macon and 28-year-old Tawny Cheyenne Beall of Griffin. Investigators determined Henderson was already out on bond and wanted in Bibb County for Superior Court probation violations related to First Degree Burglary, Identity Fraud, Forgery, and Theft by Deception. Beall was wanted in Monroe County for a probation violation.
Following the investigation, Beall was turned over to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Henderson was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, where his bond was surrendered and denied.
Henderson now faces multiple charges, including Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer, Misdemeanor Willful Obstruction, Felony Theft by Taking, Second Degree Criminal Damage to Property, Probation Violation, and First Degree Burglary.
The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be filed. Anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
