K-9 Track Leads to Arrest After Fatal Stabbing at Peachtree City Mobile Home Park
FAYETTE COUNTY, Georgia – The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred early Wednesday morning, January 28th, at the Shiloh Mobile Home Ranch in Peachtree City, GA.
Deputies responded to a call for help at approximately 3 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a victim suffering from stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators confirmed the incident is being treated as a homicide.
Before deputies and officers with the Peachtree City Police Department arrived, an armed suspect reportedly fled the residence. A search was immediately launched, and K-9 Rufus was deployed to assist in tracking the suspect. The bloodhound successfully followed the trail, leading investigators to 28-year-old Reginaldo Caal-Tiul.
Caal-Tiul was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Fayette County Jail. He has been charged with Felony Murder, Felony Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Crime.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office credited the swift response and coordinated efforts of deputies, investigators, K-9 units, and assisting agencies for the quick apprehension of the suspect. The investigation remains ongoing.
