Teen Killed In Afternoon Shooting At Woodstock Apartment Complex

WOODSTOCK, Ga. – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday afternoon at an apartment complex in Woodstock.

According to the Woodstock Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly after 5:30 p.m. to the Riverstock Apartments on Arnold Mill Road following a 911 call reporting a shooting. When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Matthew Milner of Woodstock suffering from a gunshot wound.

Woodstock Fire Department and Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services personnel provided medical aid at the scene before Milner was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are assisting Woodstock police with the investigation.

Investigators have not released information about a suspect or a possible motive. The shooting remains under active investigation.
