Coffee County Drug Units Report Series Of Arrests During Enforcement Ops
COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. – The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office Drug Interdiction and Criminal Enforcement Unit, working alongside the Douglas Coffee Drug Unit, reported multiple arrests this month as part of ongoing efforts to target illegal drugs and criminal activity across Coffee County.
Sheriff’s officials said the January operations focused on proactive enforcement, resulting in arrests for probation violations, outstanding warrants, and possession of controlled substances. The agency stated it remains committed to disrupting criminal activity at every stage, from planning through execution.
On January 2, 2026, DICE Unit deputies conducted a traffic stop and identified Britney Sdarren Armstrong as an occupant of the vehicle. A records check revealed Armstrong was wanted in Lowndes County on a bench warrant related to battery and family violence charges. She was transported to the Coffee County Jail without incident and is awaiting transfer to Lowndes County authorities.
On January 3, 2026, DICE agents arrested 46-year-old Ricky Elisha Burch of Douglas after identifying him as driving with a suspended license. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail and charged under Georgia law.
On January 13, 2026, agents stopped a vehicle on Spring Oak Street in Douglas for having no insurance. During a consensual search, agents found a crystallized substance suspected to be methamphetamine on the driver, identified as 24-year-old Eric Lee Lauramore. Lauramore was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and no insurance.
Earlier in the month, on January 5, 2026, Gavin Matthew Clay Larney, 26, of Douglas, was detained during a traffic stop for driving with a suspended license. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, in violation of Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act.
Agents also arrested 37-year-old Steve Lee Boyette of Douglas after locating him on multiple outstanding warrants. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail.
In a separate operation, the Douglas Coffee Drug Unit conducted enforcement activities in areas known for drug-related activity. Those efforts led to the arrests of Markease Robinson, who was wanted by Dooley County, and Taveon Butler, who was wanted for a probation violation.
David Salyers was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Following his arrest, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on Weeks Road, where additional methamphetamine was recovered. Authorities said Maria Sanchez, who is associated with the residence, is currently wanted for possession of methamphetamine.
The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office said enforcement efforts will continue throughout the county as part of its ongoing focus on reducing illegal drug activity and related crime.
