Twelve Plead Guilty In Macon Drug Ring Case As FBI Seizes 26 Guns, Including Machinegun

MACON, Ga. – Twelve people have pleaded guilty for their roles in a large-scale, armed drug trafficking organization dismantled through Operation Mobile Order, a two-year, FBI-led investigation that targeted cocaine distribution in Macon and Central Georgia.

Federal prosecutors say the operation shut down a criminal network that distributed kilograms of cocaine from a so-called “trap house” on Richard Street, which investigators described as operating like a retail business. Members of the organization allegedly worked in shifts to sell drugs while maintaining an arsenal of firearms to protect the operation.

According to court records, the organization was led by Eddie Reese, 53, of Atlanta, who coordinated cocaine shipments from suppliers in Atlanta and directed co-conspirators in Macon. Investigators intercepted phone calls and text messages in which Reese used coded language such as “Tylenol,” “charcoal,” and “acres of land” to discuss multi-kilogram cocaine transactions.

The following defendants have pleaded guilty in federal court:

  • Eddie Reese, 53, of Atlanta, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances; faces up to 40 years in prison
  • Roddreckious Williams, 33, of Macon, distribution of cocaine and cocaine base
  • Antonyo Daniels, 30, of Macon, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute
  • Alton Oliver, 43, of Macon, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime; faces up to life in prison
  • Devonta Jackson, 31, of Macon, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute
  • Trayvon Simmons, 28, of Macon, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute
  • Marvin Huff, 50, of Macon, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute
  • Roosevelt Cole, 52, of Macon, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute
  • Ladarrious King, 31, of Macon, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute
  • Laderion Jacobs, 30, of Macon, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute
  • Leroy Mintz, 29, of Macon, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute
  • Tanya Card, 51, of Macon, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base

Sentencing dates will be set by the court. There is no parole in the federal system.

Investigators with the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted nine controlled drug purchases during the investigation and monitored communications detailing cocaine sales throughout 2022 and 2023. In recorded conversations, Reese discussed overdoses in the community and claimed that if drugs from his Richard Street operation were responsible, “everyone in Macon would be dead.”

On November 20, 2023, federal agents executed 11 search warrants across Macon, Warner Robins, and Atlanta. The searches resulted in the seizure of cocaine, $93,247 in cash, and 26 firearms. Among the weapons recovered was a machinegun found at the Macon residence of co-conspirator Alton Oliver.

Federal officials say Operation Mobile Order highlights the continued focus on dismantling armed drug organizations that contribute to addiction and violence in Central Georgia.
