Man Arrested After Knife Assault And Robbery Attempt At Cartersville Massage Business

CARTERSVILLE, Georgia – On Monday, January 19, 2026, officers with the Cartersville Police Department responded to an assault at Massage Time Body & Foot, located at 9 South Gilmer Street.

According to police, the victim reported that an unknown male entered the business and asked for a massage. Once inside a private massage room, the suspect allegedly produced a knife and attempted to rob the business. A brief struggle followed, during which the victim sustained injuries consistent with those caused by a sharp object. The victim was able to escape the business, and the suspect fled the area.

Responding officers conducted a preliminary investigation and gathered critical suspect information. That information was shared with surrounding law enforcement agencies, leading deputies with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office to locate and detain a suspect. Cartersville police later confirmed that the detained individual was responsible for the assault.

As a result of the investigation, Jaiden Walraven was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Kidnapping. Authorities credited the quick coordination between agencies for the arrest.
