Two Men Found Shot to Death in a Southwest Georgia Street
PELHAM, Ga. – State investigators are probing the fatal shootings of two men whose bodies were discovered Sunday near a residential intersection in Pelham, authorities said.
At the request of the Pelham Police Department, agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating the deaths of Desmond Daniels, 24, of Baconton, and Tobias McIntyre, 33, of Camilla.
According to investigators, Daniels and McIntyre were found dead on Sunday, January 18, near the intersection of Castleberry Street NW and Cannon Street NW. Both men had suffered gunshot wounds. Although the bodies were located in separate spots, officials said they were found close to one another.
Investigators believe the two men were initially together inside a vehicle when the shooting occurred, though the exact circumstances leading up to their deaths have not yet been released.
The case remains open and active. Both bodies will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab, where autopsies will be performed to help determine additional details, including the manner and cause of death.
