Nine Arrested in Baldwin County Drug Sweep After Multi-Year Investigations

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – A coordinated, multi-agency drug enforcement operation in Baldwin County resulted in the arrest of nine people on Tuesday, January 13, following investigations spanning more than two years, authorities said.

The arrests were carried out by the Ocmulgee Drug Task Force and the GBI Middle Georgia Gang Task Force during a countywide operation targeting ongoing drug distribution and gang-related activity. All nine suspects were booked into the Baldwin County Jail on various felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

According to investigators, the cases stem from multiple narcotics investigations conducted in Baldwin County between 2023 and the present. Charges range from drug trafficking and distribution to firearm possession by convicted felons.

Those arrested include:

  • Toriano Gibson, 44, of Milledgeville, charged with trafficking and distributing methamphetamine
  • Donzo Mosley, 43, of Milledgeville, charged with distributing methamphetamine and oxycodone
  • John Mosley, 64, of Milledgeville, charged with distributing methamphetamine
  • Eric Roberson, 43, of Eatonton, charged with distributing cocaine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Joshua Sergent, 20, of Milledgeville, charged with possession of marijuana
  • James Simmons, 58, of Milledgeville, charged with distributing fentanyl and oxycodone
  • Gerald Ward, 45, of Milledgeville, charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
  • Thalisha Williams, 34, of Milledgeville, charged with trafficking methamphetamine
  • Jervoski Womble, 27, of Milledgeville, charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

Investigators reported seizing more than 500 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 84 grams of marijuana, 36 grams of cocaine, two grams of fentanyl, and five suspected oxycodone pills. Authorities estimate the total street value of the seized narcotics at approximately $50,000.

The operation was supported by multiple agencies, including the Georgia Department of Community Supervision, Georgia Department of Corrections, Georgia State Patrol, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Milledgeville Police Department, and several regional law enforcement partners.

Officials said the operation was aimed at disrupting drug distribution networks and reducing gang-related activity in Baldwin County, with the goal of improving public safety for residents.
