More Than a Kilo of Fentanyl Seized in Multi-Agency Arrest in Bibb County

MACON, Ga. – A coordinated, multi-agency operation led to the arrest of a suspected narcotics dealer after investigators intercepted more than a kilogram of fentanyl before it could reach its intended destination, authorities said.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Drug Unit and Gang Unit investigators worked alongside Georgia State Patrol troopers, the GBI Middle Georgia Gang Task Force, and federal agents during the operation. Investigators arrested the suspect in a neighborhood off Rocky Creek Road following intelligence that a large quantity of fentanyl was en route to him.

During the arrest and subsequent investigation, agents recovered additional narcotics and weapons, including marijuana, multiple handguns, an AR-style pistol, a Draco AK-47-style rifle, ammunition, and loaded magazines. Investigators also located a stolen Honda 450 dirt bike on the property.

Authorities said a Dodge Charger found at the scene had been reported stolen out of DeKalb County and showed signs of having its vehicle identification number altered, a tactic commonly known as a “re-vin” or “flip VIN,” used to conceal a vehicle’s true identity.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center. Officials said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are expected as evidence continues to be reviewed.
