Three Shot in Early-Morning Shooting at Macon Apartment Complex
MACON, Ga. – Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office are working to determine what led to a shooting that left three people injured early Friday morning at an apartment complex in Macon.
Deputies were called to Autumn Trace Apartments, located at 1745 Rocky Creek Road, at about 3:45 a.m. after the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center received reports that multiple people had been shot. When deputies arrived, they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds: a 42-year-old woman, a 25-year-old woman, and an 18-year-old man.
Paramedics treated the victims at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital. Medical staff later reported that all three are in stable condition.
Details surrounding what led up to the shooting have not been released, and investigators have not said whether the victims were targeted or if others may have been involved. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, Violent Crimes Unit, is handling the case.
