Paulding County Jury Convicts Hiram Man of Child Molestation Charges
Dallas, Georgia – A Paulding County jury on Thursday found a Hiram man guilty of aggravated child molestation and child molestation following a four-day trial centered on allegations of sexual abuse involving a young child.
District Attorney Robert S. Lane announced that the jury returned guilty verdicts on January 8, 2026, against Javier Emmanuel Sable, 42, of Hiram. The charges stem from an investigation by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office that began on August 8, 2024, after a 6-year-old child reported the abuse to a guardian.
During the trial, jurors heard testimony from the victim, who took the stand and described the abuse, as well as from lead investigator Suzi Massey with the Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit. After one day of deliberations, the jury convicted Sable on both counts.
Under Georgia law, aggravated child molestation carries a potential sentence of life in prison. The child molestation conviction carries a possible sentence ranging from five to 20 years for a first offense.
“Crimes against children strike at the very heart of our community,” Lane said in a statement. “Children should be able to grow up in love and innocence, and no child should ever have to endure the kind of abuse this victim suffered. This conviction ensures accountability and sends a clear message to abusers that they will face the full weight of justice.”
Lane also praised the courage of the child who came forward, along with the work of investigators and prosecutors Jason Treadaway and Christina Morgan Young, who handled the case for the Paulding Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
Superior Court Judge T. David Lyles presided over the trial and has scheduled Sable’s sentencing hearing for February 3, 2026.
The case was investigated by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit.
