Woman Dies After Being Shot at Neighborhood Grocery on Napier Avenue in Macon

MACON, GA – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Thursday morning in Macon.

Deputies were dispatched at 10:13 a.m. to Neighborhood Grocery, located at 3102 Napier Avenue, after a report of a person being shot was received by the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center.

When deputies arrived, they found a 33-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported by ambulance to a local medical facility for treatment. Despite lifesaving efforts, medical staff later pronounced her deceased.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting. No additional details have been released at this time.
