Stolen Truck Pursuit Ends Safely in Washington County; Suspect in Custody

WARTHEN, GA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, along with multiple law enforcement agencies, safely ended a vehicle pursuit earlier this evening, January 5th, involving a stolen truck.

The pursuit began in Milledgeville and entered Washington County multiple times before concluding on Mills Lindsey School Road, just off Highway 15 North.

McKendrige Ross Veasley, 34, of Warthen, Georgia, was taken into custody without incident. He is expected to face charges in Sandersville for Theft of a Motor Vehicle, as well as multiple traffic violations stemming from the pursuit.

Sheriff Cochran thanked the Georgia State Patrol, Milledgeville Police Department, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, and Washington County deputies for their coordination and professionalism in safely resolving the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
