Paulding County DA’s Office Seizes Dallas-Area Home, Cash in Drug Forfeiture Case
PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. – The Paulding County District Attorney’s Office has seized a Dallas-area home and more than $116,000 in cash after a judge ruled the property was used to facilitate illegal drug activity.
On Jan. 5, 2026, Superior Court Judge Dean C. Bucci ordered the seizure and forfeiture of real property valued at more than $267,000, along with $116,934 in U.S. currency. Following a hearing prosecuted by District Attorney Robert S. Lane, the court determined the residence had been used in the sale of illegal drugs and had become known locally as a “drug house.”
The property was officially forfeited and transferred to the State of Georgia for law enforcement purposes.
“Working alongside the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, we want drug dealers to know this: if you bring your criminal enterprise to Paulding County, we will dismantle it piece by piece,” Lane said.
The forfeiture stems from a search conducted on Aug. 2, 2023, when members of the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office executed a lawful search warrant at the residence. During the search and the arrest of Aaron Ryan Jones Sr., investigators seized approximately 137 grams of heroin, 15 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of fentanyl, a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban, and nearly $117,000 in cash.
The District Attorney’s Office initiated a civil asset forfeiture action on Aug. 25, 2023, seeking to seize the property and assets connected to the drug operation. The case was prosecuted in Superior Court on Jan. 6, 2026, resulting in the forfeiture order.
