Man in critical condition after shooting on Recreation Road in Macon

MACON, GA – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault after a man was shot Monday evening, January 5th, in Macon.

Deputies were called to the 2200 block of Recreation Road at approximately 7:34 p.m. following a report of a person who had been shot. When deputies arrived, they found a 25-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a local medical facility, where he remains in critical condition, according to medical staff.

Investigators have not released details about what led up to the shooting, and no suspect information has been made public. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
