Juvenile Arrested in Macon Aggravated Assault Investigation

MACON, GA – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a juvenile in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on Recreation Road on Monday evening, January 5, 2026.

The incident was initially reported to the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 7:34 p.m., when a 25-year-old male was shot and sustained serious injuries.

On January 6, the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended the 15-year-old suspect at a residence on Millerfield Road. A firearm was recovered during the arrest. The juvenile was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office before being taken to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center and has been charged with aggravated assault.

The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
