Bibb County Deputy Arrests Three in Christmas Eve Traffic Stop; Drugs and Firearms Seized
MACON, GA – On Christmas Eve, a routine traffic stop by Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division Deputy Cordavious Jackson led to the arrest of two Macon men and a Decatur teenager, resulting in the seizure of drugs, firearms, and cash.
Deputy Jackson initiated the stop after observing a Honda Accord stationary for an extended period at a Second Street intersection with a yellow flashing light. Upon investigation, deputies discovered multiple illegal substances, firearms, drug paraphernalia, and a large sum of U.S. currency inside the vehicle.
The individuals face a range of charges, including:
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana, or methamphetamine
- Possession of a firearm or knife during the commission or attempted commission of certain felonies
- Purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana
