Man Arrested for Shooting Woman During Argument in Southwest Macon
Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit arrested a man following a shooting on Hartley Bridge Road in southwest Macon.
According to the report, an argument inside a vehicle escalated, resulting in the male suspect shooting a female passenger. After the shooting, the woman exited the vehicle, and the suspect drove away.
The man was later located at a nearby apartment complex and taken into custody. He has been charged with aggravated assault-family violence, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The case remains under investigation.
