Statesboro Man Arrested for Armed Robbery at Quality Inn
On December 11, 2024, at 9:11 p.m., Statesboro Police responded to an armed robbery at the Quality Inn located at 230 South Main Street. The hotel clerk reported that a male suspect had entered the office and robbed him of cash.
Detectives identified a vehicle possibly connected to the suspect, which was towed and searched, revealing crucial evidence. Video surveillance footage from the Quality Inn further aided the investigation, leading to the identification of Frank Mitchell, 41, of Highway 301 South, Statesboro.
A warrant was issued for Mitchell’s arrest on one count of armed robbery. On December 13, 2024, two SPD patrol officers spotted Mitchell on Fair Road and apprehended him without incident.
Mitchell was transported to the Bulloch County Jail, where he is being held pending further judicial action.
