Man Dies in Fall, Woman Critically Injured in Shooting and Stabbing at Atlanta Apartment

On Friday, December 13, 2024, at approximately 2:24 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 5 officers responded to a reported shooting at 250 Piedmont Ave. NE.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that an adult male had fatally fallen from a window of the building. Inside a residence at the same location, officers found an adult female who had sustained gunshot and stab wounds. She was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Preliminary investigations suggest the two incidents may be connected, and the man’s fall is believed to have been self-inflicted.

The Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case.
