Atlanta Police Investigate Mechanicsville Shooting That Left Man Injured
On December 3, 2024, at approximately 7:19 p.m., Atlanta Police officers responded to a shooting at 401 Windsor Street SW in the Mechanicsville area.
Upon arrival, officers found a 53-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his chest and left arm. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Preliminary investigations indicate the shooting occurred at a nearby location. The victim reportedly walked to 401 Windsor Street SW to seek help after the incident.
Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
