Mother Arrested for Second-Degree Murder in Infant’s Death in Rossville
A Rossville mother was arrested following an investigation into the death of her infant son earlier this month. Walker County deputies responded to a residence on Mustang Street on November 14, 2024, after receiving a report of the child’s death.
Detectives determined that the mother, 37-year-old Ana Alissa Guice, was negligent in her care, leading to the infant’s death. Investigators revealed that Guice tested positive for drug use and that the infant had been improperly placed in bed with her.
On November 22, Guice was taken into custody and booked into the Walker County Detention Facility. She faces charges of Murder 2nd Degree and Cruelty to Children 2nd Degree.
Guice is being held without bond. The case remains under investigation.
