Multiple Evening Shootings in Atlanta Leave Three Victims Hospitalized
On the evening of November 20, 2024, multiple shooting incidents in Atlanta resulted in three individuals being hospitalized, with investigations ongoing.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at 374 Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW. They found a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to his head. The victim, in critical condition, was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Earlier that evening, at approximately 7:55 p.m., officers responded to Grady Memorial Hospital after a 26-year-old male arrived with a gunshot wound to his left arm. The victim was conscious and receiving medical attention. Preliminary investigation suggests he was injured near 803 Magnolia Way NW before self-transporting to the hospital. While investigating, another victim, a 16-year-old male, was brought into the hospital with a gunshot wound to his neck. It appears both injuries occurred near the same location, and the investigation is ongoing.
At around 7:02 p.m., officers responded to 3030 Headland Drive SW where they located a 17-year-old female who had sustained a gunshot wound to her right leg. She was conscious, breathing, and transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit are handling all cases, and the circumstances surrounding the shootings are still under investigation.
