Memphis Murder Suspect Arrested in Atlanta Following Multi-Agency Manhunt
An 18-year-old murder suspect, Demetrio Ceballos, wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Rozelle White in Memphis, Tennessee, has been apprehended in Atlanta, Georgia, following an extensive investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS).
Ceballos was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault after the March 25, 2024, shooting of White in the 4400 block of Millbranch in Memphis. A warrant for his arrest was issued on September 27, 2024.
The Memphis Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Team led the search for Ceballos, which eventually led to his whereabouts in Atlanta. USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) in Memphis took over the investigation, and on November 18, 2024, Ceballos was located and arrested by the USMS Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) without incident. He is now awaiting extradition back to Shelby County, Tennessee.
The TRVFTF is a multi-agency task force that has captured over 3,000 violent offenders and sexual predators since 2021.
