Dahlonega Man Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges After Large Methamphetamine Seizure
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested Tony Lamar Sullens, 59, of Dahlonega, on charges including Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule II, and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule IV.
Arrest and Seizure Details:
- On November 15, 2024, Sullens was taken into custody at his home in Dahlonega for a Probation Violation warrant.
- During a subsequent search of his property, investigators discovered and seized:
- Over 600 grams of suspected Methamphetamine,
- More than 80 Hydrocodone pills,
- Over 110 Alprazolam pills.
Sullens is currently detained at the Lumpkin County Detention Center.

The investigation was a collaborative effort involving the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Community Supervision, and the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO).
