Six Arrested in Connection with Deadly Shooting at 500 Bishop St. NW in Atlanta
On August 6, 2024, a fatal shooting at 500 Bishop St. NW led to the death of a male victim who sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Atlanta Police Officers arrived at the scene around 3:41 AM and found the victim sitting in the driver’s seat of a gray Jeep. Despite being conscious but unresponsive, the victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation suggests the victim was possibly involved in multiple vehicle larcenies at 3334 Peachtree Rd. NE before arriving at 500 Bishop St. NW, where it appears two more vehicles were found broken into. It was determined that an unknown suspect shot at the victim multiple times, fatally wounding him.
Since then, multiple individuals have been arrested in connection with the homicide:
- On August 31, 2024, Cedron Tigner was arrested for prowling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and theft by receiving stolen property. On September 2, 2024, an arrest warrant for murder was issued for Tigner in connection with the August 6th homicide.
- On September 16, 2024, 19-year-old Justin Burton was arrested in DeKalb County for his involvement in the shooting.
- On October 2, 2024, 20-year-old Matt Washington was arrested in Clayton County after being linked to the crime.
- On October 28, 2024, 23-year-old Gary Price was taken into custody in Conyers, Georgia.
- On November 12, 2024, 19-year-old Darius Blake and 18-year-old Malachi Sanabria were arrested by the Morrow Police Department.
All suspects face charges of murder in connection with the shooting death at 500 Bishop St. NW. The investigation is ongoing.
