Arrest Made in Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision on Hawkinsville Road in Macon

An arrest has been made in connection with a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred on Hawkinsville Road in Macon on September 29, 2024, at approximately 2:28 p.m.

Tony Bernard Feagin, 42, turned himself in to authorities on November 11, 2024, at 7:50 a.m. He was booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and is facing multiple charges, including Homicide by Vehicle in the First Degree, Hit and Run, and Failure to Maintain Lane.

The incident involved the death of 25-year-old Hatima Ayana Wilkins, who was found unresponsive off the roadway by deputies. Wilkins had suffered fatal injuries after being struck by an unknown vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Feagin, who was sought in connection with the incident, was arrested after turning himself in and remains held without bond. The investigation is ongoing.
