Investigation Underway After 17-Year-Old Dies from Gunshot Wounds in Camilla
At the request of the Camilla Police Department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an investigation into the death of 17-year-old Kelvin Church from Camilla. Church was shot on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, around noon at the intersection of Furlow and Jester Street. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries on November 5, 2024.
An autopsy will be performed at the GBI Crime Lab to determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
