Multiple Shootings Under Investigation in Atlanta on Wednesday

On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, a series of shootings were reported across Atlanta, leading to multiple injuries and ongoing investigations by local authorities.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., officers responded to a person shot call at 963 Allene Ave SW. Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital by Grady EMS for treatment. The suspect, identified as Darryl Williams, was arrested at the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest the shooting occurred during a dispute between the victim and Williams, who both reside in a rooming house. Williams was charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Later in the day, at around 3:34 p.m., another person shot call came in from 1231 Joseph E. Boone Boulevard NW. Officers found a 20-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his right leg. The victim was alert and conscious and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating the circumstances of the shooting.

At 4:58 p.m., officers responded to a third shooting at 2591 Etheridge Drive NW, where a 19-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound to his left foot. Like the earlier victims, he was conscious and breathing and was transported to the hospital for medical care. Investigators are working to determine the details surrounding this shooting as well.

All incidents remain under investigation by the Atlanta Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit.
