Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Ernest Barrett Parkway, Serious Injuries Reported

On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at approximately 8:31 PM, the Cobb County Police Department’s Special Operations S.T.E.P. (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) Unit responded to a serious pedestrian collision on Ernest Barrett Parkway, just north of Stilesboro Road.

Initial reports indicate that a female pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, was crossing Ernest Barrett Parkway outside of a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a silver 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage driven by a resident of Powder Springs. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to Kennestone Hospital for treatment.

The collision remains under investigation by the S.T.E.P. Unit. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Cobb County Police Department at 770-499-3987.
