Shoplifting Call At Home Depot in Macon Leads to Arrest of Two Wanted Suspects
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit detained two individuals with active warrants on Monday after responding to a shoplifting call at Home Depot on Presidential Parkway in Macon. Deputies were dispatched to the store for reports of a couple suspected of attempting to steal merchandise.
Upon arrival, deputies located the male and female suspects in the store’s parking lot. A search of their identities revealed the man was wanted in Macon-Bibb County for Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act and also had a federal warrant. His companion, the female suspect, was found to be wanted in a neighboring county for driving on a suspended or revoked license. Despite the initial shoplifting report, deputies did not find any stolen items on the pair.
Following protocol, deputies transported both suspects to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center.
