Suspect Arrested in Albany After Stealing from Dollar General and Breaking into Food Lion

On October 24, 2024, officers from the Albany Police Department responded to an active alarm at the Dollar General store located at 1515 Radium Springs Rd. While en route, law enforcement learned that the suspect was still inside the store, filling bags with stolen merchandise. Upon arrival, officers entered the store and apprehended the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Jesse Kurtavious Frazier.

Approximately an hour later, while officers remained at the scene, a report came in regarding a burglary at the adjacent Food Lion grocery store. After reviewing surveillance footage, officers confirmed that Frazier had also been involved in breaking into Food Lion.

Authorities noted that recent burglaries in the area exhibited a similar modus operandi, including damage to meter boxes to cut power supplies. Frazier has been charged with smash-and-grab burglary, Burglary in the Second Degree, Criminal Damage to Property in the First Degree, and Possession of Tools to Commit a Crime. Additional charges are anticipated.
