Stanley Stewart Sworn in as Macon’s District 3 Commissioner

On Tuesday, October 15th, Stanley Stewart was sworn in as District 3 Commissioner in a ceremony attended by family and friends. Stewart, who had been elected to take the seat next year, stepped in early to complete the term following Commissioner Elaine Lucas’s resignation to pursue a position on the Macon Water Authority Board.

“I am extremely grateful to serve in this capacity, serve the people of East Macon and Macon overall,” Stewart said after taking the oath. “I truly believe that by working together, we can make a community for all!”

Stewart participated in his first commission meeting that evening.
