Fulton County Sees Record Early Voting Turnout on First Day

Early voting kicked off in Fulton County on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, with an impressive turnout of 39,951 voters casting their ballots at 38 locations. This marked the highest turnout ever recorded for the first day of early voting in the county’s history.

Since November 2016, Fulton County’s voter participation on the first day of advance voting has more than doubled. Here are the participation figures for the past three election cycles:

  • November 2024: 39,615 voters
  • November 2020: 19,716 voters
  • November 2016: 14,927 voters

Elections Director Nadine Williams expressed optimism about the turnout, stating, “The Department of Registrations and Elections anticipated that Advance Voting for the 2024 November 5 General Election would see historic participation. We are prepared and will remain vigilant to ensure that all voters are able to easily exercise their right to vote.”

Fulton County is offering a total of 44 polling locations for early voting, with 37 locations open for the full 18-day advance voting period. Advance voting will continue daily through Friday, November 1.
