Bibb County Hosts National Take Back Initiative to Safely Dispose of Unused Medications

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will host the “National Take Back Initiative 27 (NTBI)” to provide a safe disposal option for unwanted medications.

Residents of the Middle Georgia area are invited to drop off expired or unneeded prescription medications at Piedmont Macon North, located at 400 Charter Blvd, Macon, Georgia 31210. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Participants are reminded to remove all name labels from medication bottles before disposal, as bottles with labels will not be accepted. Additionally, syringes, needles, and liquid medications will not be accepted at this event.
