Young Woman Arrested in Connection with Flint Ridge Apartments Shooting in Albany

On October 14, 2024, 23-year-old Daysha Rachele Polite was arrested in connection with a shooting at Flint Ridge Apartments, located at 320 E. Oglethorpe Blvd. The incident left 22-year-old Charles Bryant and 24-year-old Casey Fowler with multiple gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Authorities determined that the shooting resulted from an altercation involving all parties.

Polite has been charged with Aggravated Assault (Party to the Crime) and is currently in custody at the Dougherty County Jail. Police anticipate further arrests.
