Three Suspects Arrested in Connection to February Homicide in Atlanta

On October 11, 2024, Atlanta Police were notified that 41-year-old Ricky Pierce was taken into custody by the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office. Pierce has been charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Previously, on April 22, 2024, 36-year-old Brandon Baker was arrested by Homicide Unit detectives and charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm During a Felony.

On April 12, 2024, the Atlanta Police Department’s Fugitive Unit apprehended 34-year-old Holden Able. He also faces charges of Murder, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm During a Felony.

The charges stem from an incident on February 5, 2024, when Atlanta Police Zone 1 officers responded to a shooting at 893 Mitchell St. SW at approximately 8:49 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim with a gunshot wound, who was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.

The investigation remains ongoing. An arrest does not imply conviction, and all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
