Maysville Man Faces Multiple Charges After Drug Bust in Commerce

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested 25-year-old Nicholas Armand of Maysville, GA, on multiple charges, including possession of Schedule I MDMA, possession of Schedule I psilocybin mushrooms, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The arrest occurred on October 1, 2024, when the Commerce Police Department and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 5000 block of Crossing Place, Commerce, Georgia. During the search, agents seized firearms along with distribution amounts of MDMA, psilocybin mushrooms, THC concentrate, marijuana, and various drug paraphernalia.

The ARDEO is a collaborative unit comprising multiple law enforcement agencies that serve 30 counties in North Georgia, including the White County, Lumpkin County, Banks County, and others, along with support from the Georgia National Guard Counter Drug Task Force, the Georgia State Patrol, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
