Johns Creek Police Release Dramatic Footage of High-Speed Chase Ending in Head-On Crash and Arrest

The Johns Creek Police Department has released footage of a high-speed chase that occurred on August 10, 2024, around 12:52 AM. The chase ended when the suspect, Shaun Munoz, crashed head-on into Officer Anderson’s patrol car after driving the wrong way in an attempt to evade capture.

The pursuit began when Officer Carroll attempted to stop Munoz for suspected DUI, but Munoz fled, leading police on an intense chase. After the crash, Munoz tried to escape on foot by jumping a fence but was quickly apprehended by Officer Carroll, with the help of another officer. Officers struggled briefly to subdue Munoz, but he was eventually handcuffed and taken into custody.

Shaun Munoz now faces multiple charges, including DUI, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude, Interference with Government Property, and Obstruction, along with several traffic violations.
