Gwinnett County Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspect Who Fled After Knife Attack

The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 27-year-old Yago Reyes, the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred behind the Shell gas station at 1515 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth.

Surveillance footage from the incident, which took place on September 7, 2024, at around 2:00 a.m., shows Reyes in a verbal altercation with the victim. During the argument, Reyes allegedly pulled a knife from his waistband and placed it against the victim’s neck. A struggle ensued, leaving the victim with a cut to his hand. Reyes fled the scene on foot, taking the victim’s bookbag.

Reyes is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds. Detectives believe Reyes may be linked to other robberies in the area and that he is armed. Arrest warrants have been secured for Reyes on charges of Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.
