Macon Man Arrested in Aggravated Assault After Saturday Morning Shooting on Mercer University Drive

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 59-year-old Victor Michelle Brown in connection with an aggravated assault investigation following a shooting early Saturday morning, September 28, 2024. The incident was reported to the Macon Bibb Emergency-911 Center at 3:26 AM, with deputies responding to a residence in the 3600 block of Mercer University Drive.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 37-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition. No one else was injured.

Investigators identified Brown as the suspect, recovered the weapon involved, and arrested him. Brown faces charges including seven counts of aggravated assault, four counts of first-degree cruelty to children, and reckless conduct. His bond has been denied.
